General Info:

The Prison Activist Resource Center has occasional educational events at our office at 1920 Park Blvd.Oakland, CA.
The building and our office are wheelchair accessible. We also have an extensive libraryof books, zines, video and audio cassettes and other materials related to the PIC,anti-prison activism and the criminal injustice sytem. Come by any time to browse or borrow.

General meetings are from 6-8 pm one night in the first week of the month. Call us at 510-893-4648 to find out when the next one is. General meetings are a time for PARC volunteers and interested folks from our communities to come together and share report-backs, get updated on all of PARC's projects, plug into ongoing work, and decide on the content of our upcoming educational events.

In the past PARC has also organized monthly film and discussion nights. We are not doing so right now, but if you're interested in planning something, please give us a call! These potluck evenings are a great way to meet folks in our community, share stories, and learn about vital prison issues.
Generally the discussions have taken place in our office, the last Sunday night of every month.

The Resource Center sends quarterly mailings announcing the film and discussion nights and upcoming educational events. We also send periodic announcements via email regarding upcoming events of interest to prison activists.

To receive either of these announcements, please email our Coordinator so she can add you to our list. Be sure to include your Name, Address, City, State, and Zip.

Childcare is available for any of our events; please call at least 72 hours in advance: 510-893-4648
