Last night the State of Georgia killed an innocent man.

In recent weeks, we fought hard for the commutation of Troy Davis'
sentence. More than one million of your petitions were delivered. Protests, rallies and vigils were organized around the globe. Tonight,we fasted and prayed together as a community.

 
A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE: TROY HAS BEEN DENIED CLEMENCY

Troy Anthony Davis has been denied clemency by the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole. This means that Troy could be executed tomorrow at 7 p.m. if the board does not reverse its decision, and if no court intervenes.
 

Sadly the Georgia Board of Parole denied clemency to Troy Davis and he will very likely be executed tomorrow. Please read the following message that he has sent to his supporters. We will be with him until the end.

Troy Davis is scheduled to be executed on September 21st, just two weeks from today.

As soon as Rick Perry threw his hat into the 2012 electoral ring, anti-death penalty critics brought up his staggering execution record as governor of Texas: 234 prisoners have been put to death under Perry’s watch, a number of whom had serious innocence claims.
